It was a daylong outdoor sports programme started around 9.30 am with the ceremonious marchpast parade performed by the boys followed by an energetic musical aerobic dance by H.S 1st year girls. In fact, the hilltop venue with an absolute green background added most to the enthusiasm of everyone present there. The various sports feat include Discus throw, Shot-put, 100 & 200 meters Race, 400 meters Relay Race, Three-legged race etc. both for boys and girls. The most exciting event of the day was the limited overs friendly Cricket Match held among the teams of H.S.1st Year boys, H.S 2nd year boys and the Gents Faculty, in which the ‘Man of the Match’ award was won by one of our faculties Mr. Jeet Das. In addition to these, certain interesting events like Spoon & marble Race, Needle & thread race for the girls aroused much excitement among the participants and the spectators as well. It is noteworthy that one of our H.S 2nd year boys, Kunal Ghimire, dragged special attraction for his spectacular athletic zeal, who preferred to participate barefoot in the sprinting. He also bagged first prize in almost all the sprint events.
The Annual Sports Day 2020 event of Academy Point of Guwahati was held in a rejuvenating way on 30th December (Wednesday) on the 4th AP Battle on playground at Lutuma, Guwahati. It was indeed a much awaited event for all the students of Arts & Commerce, especially after this year’s dull spell of Coronavirus pandemic situation.
